LinkEd Up

‘LinkEd Up’ is a programme delivered to students struggling with Emotionally Based School Avoidance and ideally targets young people in Years 7-9.  It consists of an initial 2-week online re-engagement programme for students and a term of follow up support for students, parents and schools. The online programme is run by the RFHCS staff and specialist subject teachers in Music, Drama Therapy and Art.

The programme has been designed alongside Camden Educational Psychology Service and is now also run alongside Camden 'Rebuilding Bridges'. Camden’s Rebuilding Bridges project is focused on improving school attendance and emotional well-being and reducing behaviours of concern through 1:1 and small group support, and holistic joined-up support to (often hard-to-reach) families.

In this cycle, we primarily focused on the delivery of the two-week online programme as well as offering consultation around Phase 3 of our tested model of follow-up meetings with schools.  Our Online programme included a timetable offering sessions on; Well-being (EBSA focus), Growth Mind set, Thinking Cards (www.thinkingcards.org), Drama therapy, Music, Art and Photography.
