  • Virus V Antibody: a school art project

    Pupils have recently completed a short project for the new Pears Building of the hospital - a medical research centre focused on exploring treatments for conditions such as cancer and diabetes. One of their lead scientists, Dr.Joe Grove, asked our students to respond to their work into viruses and create artwork that could be used to promote the new building. The pupils’ finished pieces will be exhibited on the hoardings of the building and are already on display on their website.

  • Deputy Mayor Visit

    The innovative approaches taken by the Royal Free Hospital Children’s school to improve the health and wellbeing of its pupils were recognised with a visit from London’s deputy mayor last week.

     

    Joanne McCartney, deputy mayor for education and childcare, saw first-hand the work the school has done to achieve the Mayor’s Healthy Schools London bronze and silver award status.

  • Asthma and Wheezing Awareness Day

    Congratulations to our Deputy Head, Steve Green, and all the team involved with organising the first Royal Free Hospital Asthma and Wheezing Awareness Day which took place on Sunday 29th April in the Atrium. The day was free to attend and aimed at children, families and allied professionals including teachers, nurses and doctors who wished to extend their knowledge, understanding and confidence in the treatment and prevention of complications surrounding asthma and wheezing. There is a second day planned for October.
