Governing Body

"Governors have a clear vision of the school. They bring together education, health and safeguarding for the benefit of the child. They fully support the school’s research with the medical teams."

OFSTED 2019

The Governing Body of the Royal Free Hospital Children’s School is made up of a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and professions, including the local community and businesses, the school community and the local council.

We have an incredibly supportive and dedicated set of governors with a wide range of skills and experience. Relevant documents, policies and information are all held on our online hub.

New Governors have access to a thorough induction programme that includes sessions delivered through Camden Learning, an induction visit to the school, and specific school training on safeguarding and data.

Governors skills and training are monitored through regular audit of the online hub and reported in the information attached.

All governors commit to at least one school monitoring visit per year and key responsibility reporting is a standing item on FGB agendas.

Full information on the Governing Body including roles and responsibilties, pecuniary interests and attendance records is attached below.
