This statement details our school’s use of Pupil Premium money, which is additional funding provided by the government, to help raise the attainment of our underserved young people and close the gap between them and their peers.

At RFHCS, we are committed to ensuring that every young person, regardless of background or financial circumstance, has access to high-quality education and opportunities to thrive. Our Pupil Premium strategy outlines how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that the previous year’s spending had within our school.

Objectives of Our Pupil Premium Strategy
- Raise attainment and accelerate progress for underserved pupils
- Provide targeted academic support and interventions
- Enhance wellbeing and engagement through pastoral care and enrichment
- Improve attendance with individualised transport arrangements where necessary
- Promote equality of opportunity and aspiration
How We Use Pupil Premium Funding:
Our approach is evidence-informed and tailored to the needs of our pupils. Funding is used to:
- Deliver small group and 1:1 tuition in all subject areas, including English and Maths
- Employ additional Learning Support Assistants to support learning
- Provide LSA’s who have had ELSA training (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant)
- Provide access to extracurricular activities, trips, and residential experiences
- Offer mental health support
- Provide Music & Drama Therapy
- Support parental engagement and independent learning
- Provide resources such as books and digital devices
Measuring Impact
We monitor the progress of pupils eligible for Pupil Premium through:
- Regular pupil progress meetings
- Evaluation of intervention outcomes
- Pupil and parent voice
- Annual review of our strategy
Review and Accountability
Our Pupil Premium strategy is reviewed annually and updated in line with National Guidance. The next review is scheduled for September 2026.
